TECH CORNER: XO2 A

Temperature and Storage

XO2 “A” component: This is the base polyurethane for the XO2 coating. It needs to be stored at moderate temperatures (60-80° F). If stored at colder temperatures, the XO2 will be hard to maintain texture. The material will have a tendency to “lay down” and flatten out.

If stored at hotter temperatures you will lose Pot Life, the material will thicken rapidly and smaller, flatter textures will be difficult to obtain. Shorter pot life can also result in wasted material.
Proper storage is essential if you want the material to perform the same way every time that you use it, and to get the maximum shelf life out of the product.
