This week Scorpion of Quebec, Chouinard & Dupras Renovation Inc., discuss their uses of Scorpion XO2 for numerous Marine applications. They have embraced
the fact that XO2 is not just a truck bed liner and the fact that it has nearly endless uses.
Here in Quebec we’re constantly working to develop new markets for Scorpion Bed liner and right now our biggest focus is on everything to do with marine applications. Scorpion X02 Bed liner is amazing for marine applications as it is a true waterproof membrane.
We’ve done a lot of tests and there is absolutely no other product that can perform on plastic and fiberglass as well as X02.
Last year for a demonstration, we sprayed a fiberglass boat that was full of holes that we literally pulled out of the lake (yes, it was sunk) and today it is actually tied to our dock and the family uses it on a regular basis for fishing.
This year for another demonstration we sprayed a fiberglass canoe that we literally picked up on the side of the road for free (free always makes for great demonstration pieces!). This canoe was also full of holes and looked like road kill. For this application we decided to make things a little more interesting and we sprayed it with a grey base coat and then with blue and silver metallic flake and YES it floats!

Ici au Québec, nous travaillons sans cesse à développer des nouveaux marchés non exploités pour le Bedliner de Scorpion et en ce moment avec l’été à nos portes notre récente découverte est pour les applications marines.
Scorpion X02 Bedliner est le produit idéal pour ce genre d’application car c’est une membrane 100% imperméable & flexible.
Nous avons fait beaucoup de test & aucun autre produit sur le marché peut accoter la performance du X02 sur le plastique, la fibre de verre & métal.
L’année dernière en démonstration, nous avons fait la surface extérieur d’une chaloupe en fibre de verre trouée bord en bord que nous avons rescapé du fond d’un lac & cette été la même chaloupe est accroché à notre quai pour nos journées de pêche en famille.
Cette année pour notre deuxième formation annuelle nous avons fait l’application sur un canoë en fibre de verre trouvé aux ordures sur le bord d’un chemin de campagne. Le canoë était lui aussi troué. Nous avons opter pour un look un peu plus unique alors nous lui avons fait une couche de fond grise & une autre avec des flocons métalliques bleu & argent et comme les photos le démontre ÇA FLOTTE!
