Polyaspartic Safety
A polyaspartic is a top coat for many surfaces. Typically, it will be used during epoxy applications to gain color stability, increased durability, and sealant. Polyaspartics are a class of binders that contain low VOC properties to achieve similar properties of an aliphatic polyurea. This is a strong surface that has unique customizable capabilities.
When topcoating with a polyaspartic, you get the features I mentioned above, but you can also incorporate a chip or quartz additive for an ornamental look.
Polyaspartic is a two-component, rapid curing, chemically resistant hybrid polyaspartic coating system designed as a decorative yet durable coating for commercial and industrial flooring. Formulated with aliphatic chemistry, PowerFAST is color stable allowing it to take UV exposure without color shifts seen with other coating systems such as epoxies. PowerFAST is a 1:1 mix ratio system with sufficient pot life to be rolled, brushed, or sprayed . It has an extended application window with ability to apply at low temperatures and high humidity.
Originally developed for coating steel as a corrosive barrier, supreme performance led to testing on concrete. The excellent optical clarity allows for chips and quartz to be used below the coating to create unlimited custom looks. This encapsulation process results in performance and perfection.
