Concerned about non-skid. Yep, we got you covered. For applications that need a certain level of slip resistance, we use quartz additives. Now, don’t worry about it hurting your feet. Our process for applying quartz additives will ensure that will not be a problem.
- base layer of epoxy
- layer of quartz
- top coat of polyaspartic
The top coat of polyaspartic offers a finish that will come into to direct contact with the bare feet. (This is a common application in pool lockers and swim houses). The quartz chips are sealed into the polyaspratic and not a threat to hurting feet. This application provides a beautiful finish while offering a non-slip surface that is not going to be harsh on the patrons of the pool. Of course one consideration for this coating is durability and ability to resist the effect of chlorine that will carried into the locker room facility from the guess of the pool….. No problem! The polyaspartic provides a chemical resistance to numerous products and chlorine is one of them.
