Coverage Recommendations for XO2

So many times we get asked “How much XO2 should I be spraying in a X’ bed liner?” This is a common question and we want to give installers our recommendations. Be sure to print this out or bookmark this page in your browser. This information is also located in your shop manual.

Background Information

Scorpion XO2 is mixed at a ratio of 2.5 parts A, to 1 part B, to 1 part C.  With this ratio, it has always been difficult to make in true gallon sizes.  That is why we came up with batch sizes nearly 20 years ago.  The batch size not only makes mixing in mixing containers easy but it also conforms to standard packaging.  That is where the 9 gallon kit came from.  5 gallons bucket of A,  2 gallons of B and 2 gallons of C.  Mix in a 5 quart container to 4.5 quarts and you are good to go.

If you were to break a large batch into gallons it would equal 9 quarts or 1.125 gallons.  This is a very ugly conversion to gallons.  That is one reason we made the 2 gallon kit to make it easier on applicators.  We meter off the materials in the 2 gallon kits so you don’t have to worry about any measuring.

So when thinking about spraying bed liners with 2 gallon kits and batches, they will never be the same.  They will however be very close.
